Canceling your Rental Kharma membership will close the account on your credit report. Sadly, credit scores are based only on open accounts, so this will likely have a short-term negative impact on your credit score.
Canceling because you bought a home? Congratulations! Your new mortgage will soon replace your rental reporting, and the impact will be short-term.
Good to know before you cancel
- If you’re still in the middle of your lease, the credit bureaus require us to keep reporting your payments through the end of your lease. If you’re on a month-to-month agreement, this doesn’t affect you.
- When you cancel, you will not be charged for our ongoing reporting commitment.
- Your cancellation is effective as soon as you submit the form below.
- If a charge posts to your account before our team finishes the cancellation, we’ll refund that charge.
